Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
Once a farm for the Schlitz Brewery draft horses, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center provides a natural setting for meetings, retreats, and other special occasions. Located on Lake Michigan just 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee, the property includes six miles of trails that take visitors through 185 unique acres of forests, wetlands, restored prairies, ravines, bluffs and a shoreline. The environmentally sensitive green building, with its natural ventilation and daylighting from specially designed and placed window systems, provides plenty of space for learning, gathering, and relaxing. Schlitz Audubon is a designated Important Bird Area and a key migratory bird stopover site along Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan shore.
